happy new years everyone!!!

hey all. so this pic i got really really lucky with, i took it at the museum of natural history and that is not photoshopped. i was so thrilled with it. i'm going to crop it down later, so there isn't so much dead space, but i like to post pics in this thing, makes me feel cool..

nothing to much going on. i still don't know what i'm doing for new years. i'm going to see what my coworkers are doing. i'd rather not stay home alone but if it happens it happens. i have wine, and i'm not really in the mood for crowds, at least not right now. but i'm also not in a sad sap mood. we'll see what happens.

in other news, i've got nothing. i miss being home, i still want to bake more cookies, but im not going to do that. Everyone loved my baking at rehearsal i was told they were "the high point of the year" hahaha. glad i can do that.

anyhoo. that's it thought i'd just put up something quick for ya'll to see.

so yeah there's the pictures from this weekend. very exciting. it ws wonderful to be home. i baked a ton of cookies ( yay comfort baking! ) im tired, i feel like i did so much, but at the same time so little while i was home. i love christmas.
more later. i'm feeling kinda blah. i should go out and do stuff, and it's a pretty nice day out. i'm just not in the mood. i might go out for indian food later tonight. we'll see. im such a lazy bum. at least i've showered haha. anyway i hope everyone's christmas went well!

milk

saw the movie milk the other day about harvey milk. i looooved the documentary that was made in the 80's about him, so i was skeptical about this movie. I BAWLED. i will write more about it later.

anyway. harvey milk was an amazing man. and sean penn broke my heart. again more later

Just came from seeing this movie. absolutely amazing. i loved it. i loved the music, the colors, the story, the actors, the filming. It also made me really want to go to India. I wanted to go last year in Understandings of God after Lair did his presentation about his time volunteering in India and I think I still really want to. Some day hopefully. maybe next year??? who knows.

I also saw a preview for the movie milk. it's about harvey milk, love him. i want to see it so badly.... the documetary made me cry. god forbid what a highly dramatised movie will do to me.

I love this actor Dev Patel. He was in Skins ( the bbc (4?) ) show i fell in love with last year. it is now sadly over, but supposedly they're making a new season? i highly recommend the show to everyone. It's about british teens who do all sorts of crazy shit in their lives. Dev's character was the indian character who was best friends with the gay character. there's an amazing quote anwars dad says about religion and being gay. i'm trying ot find it.

hawaiiii

so i finally know how we're getting our set to hawaii. they are building it for us down there. faaanccyyy... all we have to bring is costumes. wow.

so these are from my trip to chicago and south dakota. it was in october. and i miss being on vacation. i also miss tina and other ppl. i also like seeing new places, which is diferent than travelling with my new job b/c i got to do my own stuff and i was on my own schedule and the like. these photos were from a manual camera. but i hope my pictures on my digital will come out as nice.
anyways. off to bed soon.

day 2 of work!
woot. things are going well. i worked on this program called lightwright all day which was cool b/c it's a program I've really wanted to learn.
DC has been really really warm. yesterday it was almost 60. today it was colder, but still not winter cold. it's kinda nice but more really weird.
Work is going well, I really like it and i can't wait to go on the road.
It's kinda cool to be working in such a big building. I keep getting lost. It reminds me of my internship job in london. it's also kinda cool walking into such a big building and being able to say that i work there. I'm going to take a picture tomorrow so you can all see. whoever you all are.
anyways life is pretty good can't complain. dc seems like a pretty cool city. and I like having my own room and tv and even though it's spotty, the internet as well. i also bought an amazing bottle of reisling from my first ever trader joes. delicious.
so long story short life is good.

the beginning of the beginning?

so here we go. a blog. go me. 

so i figure this is seperate from lj, my facebook and myspace and all that other junk, and i can just update stuff i've been doing while im on my new adventure/job. we'll see how long i keep this up. i think this blog seems cool. so i hope you all enjoy.
