this was such a good day. justin's boat is really gorgeous (29' long) and it was a gorgeous sunny day. we were searching for grey whales and we saw some, but they were all far away. but the picnic and the fun ride around made for an amazing day. the mountains here are my favorite, we all agreed they didn't look real. thanks justin!

friday's picture

I had a really bad day on friday. and I just have to say i love my family and i am really lucky in so many ways. this is the delicious latte my co worker made for me once i got to work. it made me very happy. the day on the boat didn't hurt either. (pictures to come)

ps it's the start of my birthday week! i don't know why but i'm really excited about this birthday. maybe it's the fact that we're all making cakes in a vegan cake off. get ready folks. so good.

thursdays pictures.

this is from a print on the wall of the house i sit at. i really like it.

this is the baby i babysit doing this peek-a-boo baby book. she looks so surprised. like where is it? (mind you before i filmed this she's been doing this book for almost 5 minutes- so she knows where it is to say the least) but then the other day i got her to do high five. so cute!

she also has this new kid mix master music make toy thing. she likes to bang on it, and it's not too annoying and it amuses her. but she was dancing to it and i thought it was absolutely adorable.

wednesday pictures the baby!

so yesterday was a gorgeous day so i decided to take my camera to the park with the baby! she's 15 months old and really wonderful kid.

she's a very thoughtful and observant baby. i love watching her watch things. i love the idea of discovering the world, experiencing things for the first time. so interesting.

she got really mad when i wouldn't let her pick the flower.

seattle is full of these sort of quirky things. this is in front of someone's house. i think they have a pottery studio in their house. but this stuff was wicked cool .

i'm going to try and take pictures of hearts whenever i see them. i love hearts.

tuesday's pics

so i decided to kind of document some things from my walk home from work. also i made a delicious dinner that bo and his beau ate with me.

these are some gorgeous flowers that i saw when i got off the bus.

one day at work one of my co workers asked me if i was in a carnival. i thought that was hilarious. bc in reality tour is like a circus. gosh. so funny. i would love to tour with a circus though.

this is from today! i made vegan shepards pie. so good. and i'm counting it as a new recipe for my 101 things list. vegan ground sausage/beef on the bottom cooked with smoked paprika, herbs de provence, garlic powder, basil and onions. then there's a mashed cauliflower and broccoli layer, some hash from the eat me box at chaco ( so tasty, kind of spicy and salty and regular potatoes and then sweet potatoes, so lucky to add), then mashed potatoes on top. TASTY! then i got a 20 dollar wine for 10 bucks on my WAY too expensive grocery store trip earlier.

later i'm going to make mixed berry hand pies from the vegan yum yum blog. i'm really excited for that too.

ok. back to dexter and wine. yum. what a good day off so far.

day 4

i don't take one bus route all the time. but when i do. i always think this car is ridiculous. it looks like the yard it part of jurassic park. it's kinda cool. other than this car tho it is a really boring parking space.

yesterday i got done work early and was able to go get coffee for the roomies at work and then take one of cars! yay! went to joannes, got scissors, thread, needles. operation sweater skirt is in affect for this weekend for myself. hopefully i finish it. this skirt is goign to take longer then i think i bet.

march 9th 2/365

this is bo on our landing/nook/whatever we feel like calling it. playing treasure madness. as we do. it's an addiction.

seattle update and day 2 of 101 things in 1001 days post ( day 2 of 365 day picture project)

so i decided to first do a small and much belated update on seattle. life is pretty good. i like my jobs. rent is cheaper ( though i have less hours) i have new art in my room from portland and all in all i can't really complain. i'm excited about camp this summer only three more months! woo hoo.

so this first picture is from the only day of canvassing (ie going door to door to try and fundraise money for the sierra club) ( i quit that job, i didn't like it at all- i don't do well with constant rejection, and the hours would have made me miserable. ) but this was a statue outside someone's house. it was the heart on a bear, but i really liked the heart only so i decided to say f you bear.

this is from the house i babysit and sew at. it's a new lamp that they have and i liked the shadow it cast on the wall.

this is me and clover , the 15 month old baby i sit every day. she's adorable.

tina and jon/bearclaw! so exciting! i got to go to portland, or for the weekend and see them. i haven't seen tina since last november so it was so awesome to see her! portland is a cool city the pacific northwest is a pretty cool place. Also, I always love seeing my best friends from college. sometimes i miss the person i was in college and i forget how comfortable i was there, and it's nice to revisit that. i miss being near all of my friends, and i imagine camp will be like that this summer as well.

we went to voodoo doughnuts, which is a really cool place. they have all these funky doughnuts, like the maple bar with bacon (which i bought for bo. i buy non vegan things from 3 ppl. nicole, bo and tina. that's it. and possibly my campers- but then i can just buy oreo's. lol)

i got the VEGAN!!!!! chocolate glazed oreo on top and peanut butter one as well as the bavarian cream maple glazed. omfg. so good. the doughnuts i have been dreaming of. very cool place. while we waited in line too tina ran into people from the university of south dakota who were there on an alternative spring break trip! small world.
